Audubon Florida

Audubon Florida works with the Tropical Audubon Society, across the Sunshine State and the Florida Keys to protect and advocate for birds, special places, water quality, and more. They have successfully united the sanctuary management, ecosystem science, and environmental education programs of National Audubon Society with Audubon Florida's role as the state's leading voice for conservation.

Bonefish & Tarpon Trust***

Bonefish & Tarpon Trust works to conserve and restore bonefish, tarpon, and permit fisheries and their habitats through science-based research, education, stewardship, and advocacy across the southeastern U.S., Gulf of Mexico, and Caribbean. The organization uses scientific data to protect and enhance these vital flats fisheries and the species within them, working with partners to implement conservation initiatives and improve regulations.

Boy Scouts of America, South Florida Council***

Boy Scouts of America, South Florida Council is the local chapter (founded in 1911) of Scouting America and offers year-round programs created to develop character, citizenship, leadership, life skills, and fitness in youth. The organization proudly serves youth in the South Florida counties of Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe.

BSA National Fishing Task Force (NFTF)***

BSA National Fishing Task Force, aka, National Fishing Leadership Team, mission statement is to: Lead and guide all BSA outdoor fishing programs. Ensure all scout have the best opportunity to learn and enjoy the sport of fishing. To encourage and foster a progressive learning experience education, advancement, programs, and literature.

Dolphin Life (Key Largo) Focuses on conservation, research, and education, providing hands-on experiences with resident dolphins and contributing directly to their marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation efforts. Their mission is to improve the lives of dolphins and whales (in our care and in the wild).

Florida Coastal Corridor

Florida's Coastal Corridor is a statewide marine conservation initiative launched in July 2026 by the Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). It connects habitats like mangroves, seagrass, and reefs, while FWC uses artificial intelligence for species monitoring.

Friends of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park (FOJP) is a volunteer non-profit corporation supporting conservation and stewardship and enhancing exceptional environmental, educational, and recreational experiences at John Pennekamp and Dagny Johnson State Parks.

Florida Keys Wild Bird Center is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of native and migratory wild birds that have been harmed or displaced; providing or locating a humane shelter for those birds that cannot be released; and educating the public towards the importance of coexistence with all wild bird species.

Friends of the Everglades was founded in 1969 by renowned journalist, author, and environmental activist Marjory Stoneman Douglas. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving America’s Everglades and its interconnected ecosystems.

Hemingway Look-Alike Society Scholarship Fund: This fund is held with the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys and provides scholarships for local students in Key West, Florida. The fund was started in 2007 to honor Ernest Hemingway’s legacy and inspire students by providing scholarships to graduating Key West High School seniors. The Hemingway Days Festival, held in Key West every July since 1981, honors the famous author who wrote classics, including “For Whom the Bell Tolls” and “To Have and Have Not” while living in Key West. One of the highlights of the festival has always been the Hemingway Look-Alike Contest at Sloppy Joe’s Bar, the Key West establishment where the author was a regular patron during his decade-long residence on the island in the 1930s.

MarineLab Undersea Park***

MarineLab Undersea Park in Key Largo, Florida, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit facility home to the world's only underwater hotel, Jules' Undersea Lab. Located in a mangrove lagoon, it serves as an educational center offering, snorkeling, and diving experiences, including tours of an 1985-era habitat, all focused on ocean conservation. Their mission: to promote the responsible and sustainable use of marine resources through education, research, and collaboration. MRDF has facilitated the "InnerSpace to OuterSpace" connection by hosting NASA missions, astronaut training, and fostering research on human behavior and physiology in confined, high-pressure environments.

The Turtle Hospital (Hidden Harbor Marine Environmental Project, Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation. We are a fully functioning veterinary hospital for sick and injured sea turtles. We rescue, rehab, and release sea turtles in the Florida Keys.
